Art in Loviisa

Loviisa is a small town full of art! During the summer you can visit many different art galleries and see interesting exhibitions.


This week is the last chance to see the current exhibition in the cultural centre Almintalo. The exhibition is open until July 26th 2020 Tue-Sun from 12 noon to 5 p.m.

The new gallery Art Gallery Loviisa has opened at Aleksanterinkatu. Luru Hirva’s and Masa Karhula’s paintings and sculptures are exhibited at the gallery. Open Tue-Fri 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sat 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Bongan linna - Bonga slott - Bonga Castle

The charming Bonga castle is open on Saturdays in July from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The professor and artist Riitta Nelimarkka’s gallery is at the castle.


Gallery Theodor hosts Antte Kerkola and Rea Pelto-Uotila’s exhibitions until August 1st 2020 Tue-Fri from 12 noon to 5 p.m. and Sat from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Hambergska - taidenäyttely - konstutställning - art exhibition

The summer exhibition Hambergska is located at the former nursing home Hambergska and at the café Loviisan Kappeli. The exhibition contains art works from 11 different artists. Open until August 9th 2020 Tue-Sun from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and until August 30th Tue-Sat from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The galleries in Strömfors Iron Works host various exhibitions during the summer. At the moment there are three different exhibitions with paintings, metal objects and more. Open until August 2nd 2020 Tue-Sun from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
